Key Objective: To develop an intake system that achieves superior air flow across the rpm range.
Key Concepts:
a. To exploit the capabilities of the HKS SPF Filter to increase the original air suction volume;
b. To take in cooler air
Key Advantages:
a. Increased air suction volume for mid to high rpm improvement
b. Minimum low rpm torque loss (as the original main air box of the car is retained to preserve the ready volume of air needed by the engine)
c. Ensure consistent performance during hot/cold temperature because the intake temperature will be correct as MAF sensor’s position on airbox (plastic) is retained
d. Move the filter out of the engine bay for durability as there will be lesser impact of heat
e. Original look; minimum clutter in engine bay
